I apologize for no recent updates. I am currently very sick and cannot spend too much time on the computer.
Reviews for Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
And review for: Prince of Persia the Sands of time
This is yet another movie with Leonardo Dicapprio. I must say I’m a fan of his acting and his movies. The roles he takes on are not only challenging, but also complex mentally. They make the viewers think a lot about the entire movie from the beginning to the end.
Before getting into the gist of the movie lets start talking about the scenes. Some scenes are very nicely displayed on the screen.
Okay the one on the left shows the cold air on the background brushing Leo. This kind of realism is hard to depict. It also makes the scnes seem more important.
The pic on the right as some great lighting. The acting is also top notch from both Leo and his in role wife. The compassion was also evident.
On to the analysis:
This movie although is complex, in reality is not as complex as it seems. All the conspiracy theories and ideas about Shutter Island being about a secret government facility and the doctors supposedly corrupting Teddy Daniels who was played by(DiCaprio) by the end of the film are not accurate. Although we as the viewers see the movie in terms of Teddy’s ideas and thoughts, it itself casues the confusion, and is not the correct view that should be significant. The legitimate ideas of the Doctors are in fact the turht. There are no secrets or conspiracies. DiCaprio’s character is actually Andrew Laeddis just as the Doctors say who also is patient 67. Andrew is in actuality a disturbed patient of Shutter Island who the doctors are trying to rehabilitate. Teddy’s job of being an investigator of the island is actually an intricate role playing game created by Dr. Cawley played by Sir Ben Kingsley and Teddy’s partner called“Chuck,” played by Mark Ruffalo, who is actually the “missing” Dr. Sheehan.
Cawley and Sheehan in actuality are doctors that have passion. They truly beleive in their therapy and that compassion can cure the madness even with a person like Andrew Laeddis. On the other hand, Dr. Naehring played by Max von Sydow and the Warden played by Ted Levine truly think that guys like Andrew are far too uncontrollable and violent for a therapeutic fix. The Warden and Dr.Naehring belive in lobotomizing their patients by strapping them down.
The entire events that occur throughout the move is part of the game that Dr.Cawley nd Sheehan had set. This was their second chance to rehabilitate Andrew. They attempted to pull Andrew away from his Teddy Daniels fantasy and accept the reality of his problems. They tried to make his accept that his wife Dolores played by Michelle Williams was mentally unstable/ill and murdered their children, and that he, Andrew, killed her as way to try to fight back. Andrew feels guilty because he knew that his wife was mentally ill prior to her actions and because of his post trauma after WWII, Andrew never acted upon and and thus because of that it cost him his children.
Guilt and hurt are what lead to the creation of Andrew’s second persona known as Teddy. And because he is smart, he creates a complex story that revolves conspiracy theories about Shutter Island. He continues his story by giving purpose and a reason by hunting for a patient who doesn’t exist. This is why he does not acknowledge he is patient 67.
The ending may seem unclear or difficult to comprehend, but it is not as difficult as it may seem. “Teddy wakes up to the reality that he is actually Andrew Laeddis, though he is warned by Dr. Cawley and Dr. Sheehan that he has regressed into his fantasy world before. However, Andrew is smart: When Dr. Sheehan sits with him on the steps that next morning, Andrew knows that the doctors and Warden are observing his behavior. The thing is, his guilt and pain are still so heavy that he knows he cannot live with them; rather than live with the knowledge of his pain, he chooses to pretend that he is still Teddy Daniels and let them lobotomize him, so that he can finally be free of his burden.
That’s what the line to Dr. Sheehan about ‘living as a monster, or dying as a good man,’ means – Andrew would rather be mind-wiped as “Teddy Daniels” than live with the sins of Andrew Laeddis. The End.”(Vic Holtreman)
The ciggerets were not narcottics. They were medicne that kept him stable. When Andrew stopped taking them he started to become out of control and unstable.
The note that said run was part of the insanity of the other inmates. And also part of his conspiracy ideas.
The NYc transit bus and train system have a monopoly.
Since there is not another main transporting method for pedastrians the MTA take advantage.
Although currently we are facing a economic drop and are in a recession the MTA frankly do not realize it and are not only increasing fare rates, spending less on service, reducing the number of trains on service, but also they are doing anything in their power to benefit economically during this period of downfall.
Shouldnt the MTA also get down or lose money during the recession? But instead they are making their everyday users/riders pay for their loss and are trying to make up for their losess.
The people have not really done anything to deserve this kind of negative treatment from the MTA.
However, the truth of the matter is that the MTA can do anything it wishes to do. It is a monopoly with no compitition.
The MTA can raise its fares from $1.50 to $2.00 to $2.25 and to even $2.50 a single ride and nothing can the people say or do can stop them.
The people who rely on the MTA for everyday commute have to suck it up and pay this price, which adds up.
ALthough these price increases may seem like nothing for the rich person or even the average Joe, in the long run it can mean hundreds of dollars to millions.
Since millions of people use the MTA to get to their destinations, even a slight increase of the fares increase profits tremendously.
The point of my rant is to not only enlighten readers, but to also help them think out of the BOx. If you live in a city, in which trains and buses have been monopolized by one company you should try your best not to support them in any way possible.
1. Try to use another sort of transportation. I suggest using a bicycle. You would be surprised at how much distance you can peddle and save time and money. I go to college with my bicycle in under 7 minutes as compared to the MTA BUs which takes me about 30-40mins.
2. Walk instead. You can get excercise and save money.
3. Buy a car. Yes although this causes pollution, and you have to face all sorts of traffic, it does help fight agasint the MTA.
4. If you see MTA using their monopolistic power to increase rates you can protest and or try to spread the word about using other methods of transportation. You could even boycott it.
The reason why people should not use the MTA anymore is because the trains and their service are truly lousy. We pay so much in tax and we now have to pay more in train rides? This is absurd. The everyday workers that run and support America should not suffer for the issues causes by mainstream big companies. In addition the NYc trains have not really improved much since the last 20 years. The same lousy trains having running time and time again. SHouldnt there be more high-tech or advanced trinas?
What about the train stations? WHy are they so filthy and disgusting? WHy cant they renovate with all their money and attempt to give back to their riders/commnuity?
WHen you look at the greed for money and power of the MTA(NYc trasportation system of BUses and Trains) you can realize that they do not care about the poeple of NY. They only care about themselves. So if these MTA owneers care so much about making money… why cant we fight back.
We should do anything in our power to resist using the MTA whenever we can.
Heres pictures of my library:
I got more music somewhere but yea this is what im listening to at the moment.
Pics will be added in near future:
This is unique anime that i cannot love anymore. THis truly is a masterpiece. The character design is in a class by itself. There are many animes, that are like another previous one, or those that are mediocre, but this anime, truly is unique. The drawing is extraordinary for manga artists. Not only is the drawing very good, but also the costume designs, the coloring and the entire setting. They all combined make it a truly a marvelous piece. In addition, the plot is in par with the setting. The story is very interesting and does not get boring from the beginning to the end. All in all, this anime is a must-watch.
This anime is not bad. Even though you may find the main problem stupid, different people might have different views. I think that the action is good, but the plot lacked importance.
Here’s a pic of a fight:
This anime is basically about a girl starting to go to middle school. Even though she acts cute, happy, and ok with everything, she has a nag on herself of wanting to be with her mother. She never got to see her mother after kindergarten and suddenly she enters a game in spite of all that.
Here’s a pic of her alone in the city by herself:
After a long journey she ends up meeting her mother and it is happily ever after. The reason why the plot lacked importance is because her mother is a stupid ignorant fool.
Here’s a pic of the foolish mom playing a gamewhile daughter suffers:
She is the champion of the game that her daughter had entered and she never even spoke to her until the bitter end. She often says something like, “I want to show her that I’m doing work ( in my view playing a game), and that I won’t meet her until she sees me working.” I find it hard to believe that a mother, despite herself being ill, is shunning her daughter like the way she did. Her daughter was right in front of her, but instead she would just run away. Yea, and although the mother is playing to raise money for the new technology to fix herself, she did not say anything to her daughter. She could’ve at least told her daughter that simple fact, but no. She let a poor little girl suffer. And what made it more horrifying is that the mother only decided to confront her daughter just the minute both of them were going to fight one another in the last final game.
Although the girl does not feel bad for the actions her mom has done, i find it somewhat hard to watch and can’thelp but say this anime is full of bbb… bullshyt.
What would she have done if her daughter never made it to the final games? Would she just leave her by herself to suffer even more?
Anywyas thats all: Sleep well:D
This anime truly is in par with emotion provokablility as are Kanon and Rumbling HEarts. IF you are a anime fan or a romance anime fan then Clannas season two is perfect for you. Also if you have not watched Rumbling Hearts and Kanon you should becuase they also are tear-jerkers.
Anywyas Clannad really is great becuase it encompases many different things. It has extremely likable characters, nice reltionships, problems/climax, family ideals, friendship, display of age altercations andthe chnages that come from being a child to reaching adulthood, father-daughter relationships, and also much more.
This anime also has great opening music and nice music to cause the aura of the feeling become even more effective and significant.
The characters go through some real issues. One is being ill with pain that is almost unbearable to watch. It also deals with death and birth.
There tears come from reminishg about Nagisa, who died after giving birth to her daughter. Dad/Tomoya cries becuase he trully loved her but has to live without her. He also is trying to be a father which is very new to him. He has neglected his daughter becuase he lost his wife and could not raise her properly. He had to spend 5 years gathering himself before he opened up and spoke to his daughter and soon enuogh they created a bond.
The friendship factor is also very crucial. These friendships help the anime progress while building up the likability factor. The characters became relatable. Nagisa’s friends become important to her after her struggle of graduation high school in 5 years. She was often ill so if was hard.
The pic below shows the theme of change and learning with age. The characters all changed over the years and they also matured. They learn important life-lessons and they each move forward in the chain of life.
IN the first season and towards the begning of the second we see relationships brewing. The most signification relationship is between Nagisa and Tomoyo. Both are a young couple in love with struggles. Tomoyo tries to work after hs and Nagisa tries to finish H/s despite being ill most of the time and missing school because of it.
Anyways this anime has a lot to offer so if you are bored pick it up. Watch it and try not to run away from it because these issues are important to deal with and understand. This one is strong and brace yourself for it.
Now…this movie is fantastically awesome and at the same time mind-blowing.
Many various actions occur throughout the movie and its makes one wonder about so many questions simultaneously.
First off, it is important to understand that Leonardo who plays the character Cobb has lost his beloved wife and cannot forget her. Cobb and his wife previously lived about 50 years in a dream, which was about 1-2 years of actual time. They spent their life aging in a dream… but soon learned that it was not real and decided to return to reality and out of the dream. However, Cobb’s wife after returning to reality thought she was still dreaming. Her mind was confused and could not differentiate reality from the dream-state.
The motif was death, in which lets the dreamer return to reality. So cobb’s wife thought of a plan to commit suicide her husband. However, Cobb knew he was in reality already and did not want to commit suicide. He tried his best to save his wife, but could not.
Because of this he was consumed of guilt and could not forgive himself.
Eventually because of this guilt CObb’s wife started to interfere with Cobb’s dreams. ANd this interference would eventually interfere with the entire plan.
The purpose of this plan was to help another man of high power change the thoughts of another young man who could alter the fate of the world politics.
Cobb basically was being blackmailed because all Cobb wanted to do was to be with his children… but his agency would not let him.
HE was forced to do this job so his agency would become powerless.
SO his job needed to alter the thoughts of a young man who would become the head of a political empire.
After the plan of using three different dreams within one… in other words making three different mazes within one dream to reach the farthest depth of one’s mind, is set up. Leonardo and the little girl who creates the mazes learns about a key factor that could interfere with the plan. So in order to help cobb the girl who created the mazes joins the fight and also intercepts the young man’s dream.
SO he made a team of 6 and dosed the young man and with his team intercepted his dream.
HIs entire team was being attacked by not only the self defense of the young man’s mind, but also by the guilt Cobb had secured.
Cobb’s wife would often come and attack him and his teammates making their plan take longer than expected. However eventually, the little girl who is part of the team learns about CObb’s issue with his memories of his deceased wife.
Soon enough she helps him overcome the guilt and in the end the plan succeeds.
The young man who is soon to be the leader of the empire learns about his past and changes his way of thinking. As a result Cobb’s employer renders the menace against his children useless. Cobbs then in the end reunites with his family.
However, although he does reunite, it is not clear if Cobb is in reality or in a dream. Or he could even be intercepted by the little girl who was in his team, who also was the best at making mazes just as Cobb once was… she was his apprentice.
Also at the end we as the audience see the top spinning. The spinning is also another symbol that differentiates reality from dream-state. The top seemed to be spinning without end… so it could be that Cobb was left in a dream state.
or he could have been intercepted by some1 else maybe his apprentice.
or he could have completely decided to forget about dreams and spend his life with his children.
This is a direct response to all selfish money craving sons of b1tches that have teamed up to degrade Lebron James for his decision to play for Miami Heat.
Also response to this pathetic article by some stupid fat morons that cant play ball for the love of god.
This guy starts off saying it was a waste being a fan of Lebron…
The truth of the matter is that… pathetic reporters that only care to hype up a player are just losers in life. You people cant do anything else and have lost your will to report on a great player just because he has decided to win with better players.
First off, the main reason Lebron James plays is to win.
Cavaliers could not win any NBA finals in 7 years.
Lebron James cannot win by himself…
His team was terrible. IN addition, just because Lebron James has decided to try to win instead of trying to earn more money and help a specific franchise pull more cash from their respected locations, does not cover him in a world of hate.
People that could not buy James with money, like the Knicks, are shameful for putting such high hopes on James with their greedy and disgusting money.
James wants to win and has decided to cut his pay in order to do so.
What is wrong with wanting to win?
People say he should have stayed on Cavs, but the Cavs were too dependent on him.
James cannot be Superman and win every game.
Look at Kobe’s Game 7 shotting 6-24 in the 2010 NBA finals games against the Celtics.
If the Cavs magically made it to the finals and if Lebron shot 6-24 and played like that with the Cavs, they would have lost by 40 points.
It is a simple decision of wining and not winning.
Athletes like Lebron can only be respected in the long run by their wins and not by their hype and stupid commercials.
Lebron wants to be the best and wants to win, and he should not feel guilty about that.
He had the opportunity to join the best squad and capitalized.
Unlike the athletes of the past, now in the NBA, they are much more stronger, swifter, and skilled. Thus having the better team with the better players will allow a team to win at a high percentage.
Michael Panizzo; Plymouth, Mich. said, “This also makes the NBA look bad. I have no idea what these owners must be thinking, other than wanting to raise ticket prices next year.”
Panizzo says, this makes the Miami heat look bad, but this could be said for the contrary.
Other teams tried to do the same by investing two-three years of money on one player while neglecting every other player in the entire world. And this act is not only selfish and stupid, but it is also shameful at the way money is held and respected in the NBA.
The media is having a frenzy about the decision he made because the big companies feel like they have been slapped on their fat chubby faces. Of course the NBA should be ashamed at how they think money can buy a player and help them raise ticket prices, like the way KNicks had hoped.
Richard E. Dudenski; Schererville, Ind. said, “A thousand years from now, anthropologists will be puzzled to learn that NBA players were paid many millions of dollars because they excelled at bouncing a basketball.”
This could also be said to the Walmart brothers for making millions of dollars while having a fake face of helping America, while in actuality they not only hurt America, but also help Chinese economy.
American capitalism is full of flaws and this is no different.
If anthropologists find bouncing a ball and earning money odd, then they too would find the entire make up of the American market to be ludicrous.
Terry Friedlander; Ketchum, Idaho said, “If it were about team, then players such as Lebron James, Amare Stoudemire and Shaquille O’Neal would have stuck with the teams that they had played for and won games with. It seems most players opt for money or a more glamorous lifestyle.”
His rant about players being selfish and not considerate about their team is full of bullshyt.
If their team is full of random players that get paid to play, the teamwork is already a facade that is fake and untrue.
The team work is built upon trust, and Lebron James had no trust in his teammates after seven dissipating losing seasons.
It is funny how organizations don’t lose with a player like Lebron James because they cash in every game because of his abilities on the court, but when players like Lebron play hard and come short and fail to win… they are the ones that truly feel the pain of a loss.
The team owners have no say and and should not have the right to ask questions associated with Lebron’s decision. It is his life and he can do whatever he wants to do. And money cannot sway him. Money is only paper and does not and will not contain sentimental value of any sort.
He also goes on to ask a ridiculously ignorant question,”Do the superstars really think that they want to win more than their teammates or that they put more effort into winning on a nightly basis than the other teammates,”which not only shows that he has zero to no experience playing sports at a high level, but that he does not understand that big superstars at Lebron’s level want to win more than others. This is why they are similar height, but work hard on all aspects of their game. They are not like other lazy tall players of the NBA that simply do not work hard to win. They simply enjoy playing in the NBA at a mediocre level and earn money as they can. Lebron’s does not care about money. HE cares about basketball. He wants to win Rings and have a legacy. He wants to show the world he is dominant and not another player like Barkley who is forgotten.
Reporters like you are ignorant and are low dogs of society. You cannot grasp the pain that Lebron feels after working so hard to his point in his career/life and still coming short. His running drills, dribbling drills, shooting drills, weight lifting sessions, eating habits, family work, and life are something beyond your comprehension.
This moron of a half-assed wannabe reporter that has full of bias continues his rant saying,”For James to go to the Miami Heat because it will give him the best opportunity to win helps him avoid looking in the mirror and asking what he could have done to make the Cavaliers a better team.”
He tried his hardest to win seven times but could not. The Cavs owner and his money grubbing team did not make the Cavsteam any better that could make a significant impact to helping the Cavs win in the playoffs.
Lebron was the MVP- (Most valuable player) for the last two seasons of the NBA regular season and still could not win. His team was at fault and not himself. Lebron excelled in points, assist, rebounds, and leadership. He could not do more than that and should not need to do more than that to win a NBA finals.
Reporters like you need to look at yourselves in the mirror and figure out a new life because at this moment your self righteousness is making your selves look like fools.
